Ian Moore-Ode To Musicianship

I’ve been photographing him since the late 1980’s and it never gets old. His guitar playing, singing, songwriting and storytelling make him a complete entertainer, and why he isn’t topping the charts is beyond my comprehension. Its baffling to me. If you’re lucky enough for Ian to come to your town to play, you need to do yourself a big favor and go see him! Solo, with accomplished accompanist Kullen Fuchs, full band, or Original Band-go, and you won’t be disappointed, in fact you’ll probably become a disciple. That’s a pretty good way to put it, too, because there are times in his shows where the preaching of the gospel of music is just amazing, including speaking in tongues, healing, and all the other trappings of a good sermon.  At one time critics were referring to him as the second coming of SRV because of his incredible guitar prowess, but he is a totally unique artist. His music has shape shifted over the years yet always maintains the ring of truth. One of my absolute favorites: thank you Ian for the years of Music.
