Hello again; I haven’t been blogging for a while after a fast start! However September 2014 compels me to do so: my “Texas Flood” and more series of Stevie Ray Vaughan photos are 25 years old, and The Heights Gallery (aka http://www.theheightsgallery.com) is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary on Sept 21. Starting with SRV: Some of my all time favorite shots, and I almost lost them. The semi-late semi-great Astrodome, too. Joe Ely and David Grissom, Jimmie Vaughan and the Fabulous Thunderbirds with a kid named Doyle Bramhall , Jr on second guitar, and the Who inside the ‘Dome. What a great show, and a once in a lifetime experience.
That’s all for now, except to let you know these 3 “Texas Flood” images are on sale at Precision Camera and Video in Austin, Texas as 20″ X 30″ Moab Entrada Rag Natural prints (same stuff I print on, with Epson pigments), and as a very limited edition 24″ X 36″ single print at http://www.theheightsgallery.com. You can comment here, message me on Facebook, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on that, and on the other images from 9/02/1989 here. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank, too.
